After obtaining his Master’s degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lausanne, Mr. Julien Billarant worked as a court clerk at the District Court for the district of Lausanne. He then pursued his studies with a Ph.D. in labour law at the University of Neuchâtel and the University of Edinburgh, further strengthening his expertise in this field. His dissertation, entitled “For a New Approach to the Concept of Subordination in Swiss Private Labour Law,” was published in 2020 by Schulthess.
In parallel, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Sports Law.
Mr. Billarant completed his training by obtaining his bar admission following an internship with a major law firm in Lausanne.
A few months later, he opened the firm “Billarant Avocats” in the heart of Lausanne. In August 2024, he founded a new firm, “Horizon Avocats.”
Mr. Julien Billarant handles cases in French, English, Italian, and German.
